It is with great excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the new Principal of Woodland Park Middle School.  I am also please to return to San Marcos, where I have spent the majority of my educational career. Woodland Park has a reputation of collaborative work focused on success for every student and I look forward to taking up this cause with you.  I want to assure you that I recognize that we are in the most unique education situation with the school closure due to the Coronavirus, and I am committed to helping maintain the momentum as we close out the 2019-20 school year.  I firmly believe that we can work together to bring hope and opportunity to all students in our school community and I look forward to the day that we can all be on campus together.

Professionally, I have dedicated the last 25 years to education through a few different positions.  Teaching science at the middle school and high school levels, working as a curricular and instructional consultant and lastly, being an assistant principal in Vista has provided me with experience and perspective that I intend to apply to this new position.
